Fabulous Green Rivoli Juliana Style Necklace and Earring Demi Parure!

Quite the Showstopper!  Various Green Shade Chatons centered with a Huge Blue/Green Rivoli--Beautiful!

The photograph doesn't really say it all where this one is concerned.  This demi has so much sparkle and shine when viewed in person that just can't seem to be captured in digital photography.  Now that doesn't mean that we aren't going to continue to try to get a good shot of this demi, it just means that we are having a heck of time finding a shot that shows off all of this sets best aspects.  The problem lies within the Rivoli Stone, which when viewed straight on appears to be all green, but when viewed from the side appears to show evidence of the darkest sapphire blue...Wow!

What we have here is a Juliana-style, unsigned Green Rivoli Demi Parure with all original stones intact.  The reason I say Juliana-Style is because DeLizza and Elster were known to make jewelry of this type using Rivoli stones, but they only made very limited types of them.  This has not yet been submitted to the DJJ Discovering Juliana Jewelry Group on Yahoo! yet for verification mainly because I'm pretty sure that I'd be wasting their time.  I will leave it up to the new owner to decide if they would like to do that.  I can tell you this much:  Mr. Frank Delizza (One of the owners of Delizza and Elster Co.) has previously viewed one of my Rivoli pieces, The Carousel Style Rivoli Brooch and Earrings Demi,  and notified us that it was not made by his company.  He stated that the Square Rivoli stones very cost prohibitive, and that they very seldom used them, and never in an 8 mm size, which was the size that that one was.  This stone does seem a little smaller than that one did though.

The Necklace was created with a pendant and rhinestone chain made with a gold tone finish.  The pendant is made up of two rows of pale green chatons ribboned around a very large blue/green Rivoli stone.  There are three accent stones other than the Rivoli--Three emerald green round chatons, two at the base of the pendant and one resting on the lower right base point of the rivoli outside the ribbon.  The pale green rhinestone chain fastens with a standard j-hook connecter, and is a healthy 18" in length.

The Earrings are Round, measuring 1" across and each feature a single row of the pale green chatons centered by the same blue/green Rivoli stone as in the necklace.  They are clip on style and once again created with the gold tone metal.

Condition:  This Demi is in Very Good to NM condition.  The finish is in wonderful condition showing only light scratches and very very little wear to the shine.  All stones are bright and shiny, and the Rivoli stones securely prong set.  A beautiful set, and a great deal to the vintage collector!
