Beautiful little pin--great gift idea!
This is a unique little rhinestone and enamel flower pin
done in what I believe to be a "violet" or "Pansy" motif, but it's much larger than
a real violet!
Two flowers created with Faceted open back clear glass stones
in fancy setting,
enamel, and crystal white rhinestones are offset with light
lavender/pink enameled flower petals. The enamel casts its color
onto the clear glass, making the glass stones look the palest of purple
as well. In addition to the purple pieces, the stem sports a green
teardrop rhinestone, and an enameled green leaf. It's a really special piece, and I'm really pleased to
offer be offering it to you today! I believe this piece
newer than the usual jewelry I sell here on Discerning Blonde. The
texturing of the metal/enameled leaf leads me to believe that this piece
may be from the late 70's or early 80's. The maker will most
likely never be known, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd have to say
it was made by Vendome. Vendome was pretty big on mixing stones
with enamel, but the craftsmanship of this piece is not quite up to
typical Vendome standards. Condition: I would grade
this cute pin in Good Plus Vintage Condition. While it is
mechanically sound, there is some chipping on the green enamel leaf,
which I have reflected in the price. The enamel on the petals is
just fine. The chipping is not that noticeable, and it doesn't
effect the overall appearance or beauty of the pin when it is worn.
