Striking "Judy Lee" Signed Blue
Rhinestone Brooch! Very Large--Beautiful in Blues!

Light Sapphire and Montana Blue
Chatons--Separates the Pins from the "Brooches!"
This singularly spectacular brooch was made by "Judy
Lee" and I offer it up for sale to you today for an exceptional price!
Judy Lee Jewelry (circa 1949-1980's) is just coming into it's own in the
Costume Jewelry Collecting market as it is a more contemporary brand
capturing the collectors eyes. Judy Lee Jewelry originally found
it's way into the market through home parties, much like the Sarah
Coventry Line of Jewelry. It's characteristics include a more
"spider web-like" construction not unsimilar to that of the great Beau
Jewels (Bowman-Foster company) who fashioned incredibly beautiful
costume jewelry from the 1950's through the 1970's. Intricate
designs using preformed metal settings attaching to cups via
rivets is about the best way to described a Judy Lee created piece of
jewelry.
This beautiful blue brooch comes to us from an estate in
western Iowa. It was purchased by a local Des Moines Antique
Dealer who passed it on to me. When she originally presented it to
me, it came with a beautiful pair of sapphire blue earrings, but there
aren't any sapphire blue stones in this brooch. I've determined
that the set is a marriage, and decided to split them up as they don't
really match. If you would like to look at the earrings and make a
determination of your own, please feel free to browse in the earrings
section. You will recognize them immediately...believe me!
They are large and Loverly!
This monster Brooch measures a whopping 3" x 3" and was
created in a diamond design, as is clearly visible in the above photo.
Light Sapphire chatons and Montana Blue Navettes accent this piece,
creating an unusual snowflake effect.
Condition: I deem this brooch to be in Very Good
condition. The pin back is straight and solid, and while there is
some patinizaton of the metal it is not in any sort of distress.
There is some scratching on the stones, but when worn this isn't all
that noticeable. All of the stones are shiny, and the settings all
seem very stable. A very nice piece of vintage jewelry that is
bound to increase in value over time, and I'm sure you'd enjoy this
wonderful vintage piece in your own personal jewelry collection!
